Peter gives me such a buildup in writing to a prospect that makes me want to blush !

Hi Stuart,

You will, I hope, recall me as the backroom lad managing content at
WebsterWorld/Webster Publishing in the days when we were developing new
material. I know from Tony Webster that you rather liked our animations, in
which I had a small hand on the commissioning, editing and planning, but
which were essentially the work of my good friend Ramki, more formally
known as Rama Krishnan.

Sadly, with the demise of Webster Publishing as a centre of educational
innovation and development, there will be no more of his excellent
productions available from that source, but Ramki has asked me to place the
two of you in direct contact. Ramki was a guest in our house when he
visited Australia a year or so back, and we must have collaborated for the
best part of three years, so I feel I know him and his skills extremely
well, and I am happy to stake any reputation I may have with you on this
very clever young man.

During our collaboration, I found him endlessly patient in dealing with a
client who would insist on changing the specs part-way through (don't we
all?). But more importantly, Ramki brought his own amazing talent into the
development work, spotting opportunities to add new dimensions to the
animations we developed, and at times initiating new projects.

Ramki is an Indian citizen, resident in Chennai (aka Madras, India). I am
not sure if ***** is willing or able to use overseas
suppliers, but if you are both willing and able to do so, I cannot
recommend his skills too highly, and I urge you to talk further with him.

As you can see, I have cc'ed this e-mail to Ramki: now it is time for me to
bow out and leave the two of you to negotiate. I believe doing so would be
of benefit to both of you.
